Welcome to Sinclair Aviation Diesel
As the aviation industry in the United States experiences the increasing popularity of diesel engines as the availability of leaded aviation gas is threatened, the need for skilled technicians to maintain the equipment will grow dramatically.
To meet this demand, Sinclair Community College (Dayton, OH), a leader in Aviation Technology, is expanding the Airframe & Powerplant curriculum by developing a new program in Diesel Engine Maintenance.
Funded by the National Science Foundation, the new curriculum will cover compression ignition, piston-driven, diesel-cycle aviation engines. Technicians will become qualified in routine maintenance, fault isolation procedures, and diagnostic protocols along with general theories, operations, and procedures.
